NuBloom vs Mobile Lactation Consultant
Both offer offline charting for home visits. The experience is very different.
Mobile Lactation Consultant (MLC) is an iPad-native app built for lactation charting, with offline access via iCloud sync. It's one of only two tools besides NuBloom that work without WiFi.
The issue is usability. IBCLCs report spending months trying to get it set up, dealing with crashes, forced landscape mode, and a UI that feels dated. The app is iPad-first, so it doesn't work well on phones. Lower plans cap the number of new clients you can add each month.
NuBloom runs on any device (phone, tablet, laptop) and uses selective sync instead of iCloud, so you choose exactly which patients to take offline. MLC does have an AI audio-to-chart feature that NuBloom doesn't.
