About NuBloom
IBCLCs kept telling us the same thing: nothing on the market fits how we work. So we built something that does.
How This Started
NuBloom was not our idea. It started when several IBCLCs approached our team at Digitus Data with the same problem: none of the tools on the market fit how they actually work. They were piecing together three or four apps just to get through a day of home visits, then charting from memory at night.
It turns out lactation has its own clinical workflows, its own billing codes, and its own constraints (like charting without WiFi on a couch in someone’s living room). And the available software was all designed for physicians in offices. Every option required hours of template setup or left gaps that had to be filled with spreadsheets and workarounds.
What We Built
NuBloom is one tool for the whole job: charting, scheduling, telehealth, billing, messaging, and a patient portal. LATCH and IBFAT scoring, jaundice assessment, mood screening, feeding plans, and lactation billing codes are built in from the start. No template setup, no configuration project.
The clinical workflows came from practicing IBCLCs. Every assessment tool, every default, every shortcut exists because a real consultant told us what they needed.
The result is software that works the way you already practice, not something you have to bend your workflow around.
Who Built This
NuBloom is built by Digitus Data, a software studio that works on healthcare applications. We build clinical tools, patient-facing products, and HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. Lactation consultants kept coming to us with the same frustrations about their existing software, so we started building.
